The city of Englewood is mostly in Charlotte County, but there’s a small part of it that’s in Sarasota County. So the schools around town are part of two different school systems: The Sarasota school system is known as one of the top ones in Florida.
There is an agreement in place where residents who live in Charlotte County can go to Englewood Elementary (which is in Sarasota County), while residents who live in Sarasota County can go to the middle and high school in Charlotte County.
There are also several private schools in the Englewood area too.
